Ark Encounter Facilitates Biblical Worldview – Oct 2017
While driving through Kentucky we stopped to visit the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum just south of Cincinnati. We highly recommend them.
The turning point in my relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord (I knew him primarily as only Savior before) began when I started to learn, understand, and apply a Biblical Worldview, seeing and understanding the world through the lens of the Word of God.
The Creation Museum looks and analyzes our world and its history through the Truth of God’s Word. The Ark Encounter brings one of the most significant events in history from a children’s Sunday school story to life.
A Barna survey found only 4% of Americans hold a biblical worldview. Taking from George Barna, a “biblical worldview” is defined as believing that absolute moral truth exists; the Bible is totally accurate in all of the principles it teaches; Satan is considered to be a real being or force, not merely symbolic; a person cannot earn their way into Heaven by trying to be good or do good works; Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth; and God is the all-knowing, all-powerful creator of the world who still rules the universe today.
Can you believe that while 83% of Americans “identify” as Christian only 4% of Americans hold a Christian, Biblical Worldview, this is a staggering fact. 74% of professing Christians do not believe basic foundational truths of what they profess to believe; this is a grave disconnect.
